Harsh Agarwal I am completely overwhelmed by this and I can simply say one thing

I wish more hip-hop music was like this. Easily a contender for AOTY for me.
VitalA+
VitalA+ thumbnail
VitalA+ Endlessly creative and inventive. Every track feels like a uniquely weird blend of alternative hip-hop, sound collage and so much more. I'm addicted to this album. Favorite track: Babyfat (feat. PK Shellboy & Naaki Soul).

booonbooon Material Girl is one of the most exciting artists I've discovered in the last few years. They are not trapped by any boundary, be it tradition, genre, or even the physical realm. Even with my high expectations, Drujjha exceeded my expectations in its creativity, contemplation, earnestness, and fragility. Favorite track: We Both Know It's True (feat. City Light Mosaic).

echo__astral the expertise to pull off a track like We Both Know It's True mixed with the confidence to actually go through with it makes Material Girl one of the deadliest producers to come out of No Agreements. an artist to watch if you have any interest in the future of music Favorite track: We Both Know It's True (feat. City Light Mosaic).

(Verse 1) My TV screams At my heartbeats I can feel it creeping I can feel it beating Fever’s moving in Fever’s moving in Fever’s moving in Fever’s moving in Fever’s moving in Fever’s moving in I’ll see you in the next life I’ll see you in the next life (Verse 2) Obituary in lowercase the boy could never break free like a shadow in his own house Just left a rose behind baby baby babe baby baby babe all he could say was I was born a dog all he could say was I’ve made my peace with god all he could say was Bon voyage All he could say was All he could say was I’m never coming back again

Material Girl: Time I met the Devil he reveled in all my body fat One time I slipped and had the figure never got it back Self consciousness And my mouth is incontinent My body the test site of all my broken promises My sweat glands are pumping like You can trust me Thrust after thrust like who would fuck me My body is unwieldy My body is clumsy My body is full of lust My body’s an enemy Baby fat My body is unwieldy My body is clumsy My body is full of lust My body’s an enemy Baby fat

Material Girl: Trust is a weapon, when the floodgates open At the point where hope is, we both know it's true Stupid girl talks too much, stupid boy doesn't talk enough I feel it in a clutch, we both know it's true You'll have to pardon me, I think I felt it then I felt it tremble for a second and, we both know it's true Nobody ever told you that, things fall apart City Light Mosaic: Touch, touch, touch, touch, touch My corpse is rotting away, I can't feel anything Part of me wants you to stay, part of me disintegrates I melt like you want me to You inspired a ballad, of a melting palace It may be in our best interest But so many what-ifs are still present I don't know what to make of myself If this can't work, nothing else will ~ City Light Mosaic: These are my vocal cords With their every Strain and reverberation I feel my soul speak in a thousand tongues Krullebol: This is my saxophone I have to come to learn that it Breathes through reeds In its brass exoskeleton And flexes its muscles In its tender keys Naaki Soul: This is my guitar The home The body Where the notes and their shadows Scrape together, shivering

Material Girl: Last time I met the devil it took the form of a challenge when the world and the heavens they asked me to break my silence I held it all in my hand screaming so it notice me whole body spread and I said it openly Beware me I was born on the ides of march I was just an idle dog star waiting for a start Did I not do enough Could you not love me even when I bandaged all the spots that my blood leaks Dissonance in my heart when I think about my legacy time and time again my life has tried to wrest the keys from my hands and I do what I can I do what I can

about

After the success of his debut album, Material Girl returns with a brand new mixtape 'Drujjha'.

On one hand a continuation, and the other a wild experiment; 'Drujjha' is an anxious, yet free-spirited expansion on all the influences that set Material Girl apart from his contemporaries on 'Tangram'.

While 'Tangram' fixated on the things that build our lives, 'Drujjha' meditates on life itself with themes of aging, mortality, and rebirth. The thing that shines more than anything on 'Drujjha', is Material Girl's ability to not only speak to his contemplations on a lyrical level, but also through his production and songwriting.

Every song on 'Drujjha' embodies its themes to the fullest extent, and it shows that Material Girl isn't just growing as a musician; but as a person too.
